Oak Ridge Industries seeks an experienced Technical Sales professional with a strong understanding of machining, fabrication, and industrial equipment. You will work with engineering, machining, fabrication, and field service teams to scope projects, develop solutions, and deliver cost-effective results.

Role may be remote or hybrid; periodic time in shop and at customer sites is essential to understand applications, support accurate quoting, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial sales, technical sales, or applications engineering within machining, fabrication, manufacturing, and industrial plants.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Willing to visit customer sites and work in shop/plant environments.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in remote or hybrid settings.

Responsibilities

• Understand equipment issues, repair needs, and custom manufacturing requirements with customers.
• Visit customer sites to assess applications and operating conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, fabricators, and field teams to develop solutions.
• Prepare estimates and quotations including material, machining, fabrication, and labor.
• Review drawings to provide accurate quoting and project scope.
• Serve as primary customer contact through sales and project lifecycle.
• Coordinate handoff from sales to engineering and production.
• Develop ongoing customer relationships and identify repeat business opportunities.
