Job summary

Tether seeks a technical Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee software delivery from initiation to completion across a 50+ engineer team. You will define scope, timelines, and deliverables, manage resources and budgets, mitigate risks, and ensure clear stakeholder communication.

You will bridge technical and business objectives, drive on-time quality delivery, foster collaboration, remove obstacles, and drive continuous improvement in project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of proven experience managing software development projects, either as a Project Manager or Lead Developer.
• 5+ years of recent experience in software development, including hands-on coding within the last 3–4 years.
• Experience working in small to medium-sized businesses (20–100 employees).

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Technical Project Manager: collaborate to provide support and ensure delivery moves forward.
• Oversee Project Execution: monitor progress, manage dependencies, and adjust plans for 50+ engineers.
• Manage Stakeholder Communication: provide regular updates on status, risks, and changes.
• Help to Establish Project Scope: work with stakeholders to set objectives, timelines, and success criteria.
• Mitigate Risks and Resolve Issues: identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: align development, QA, product, and business teams.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: collect lessons learned and improve future execution.
