Job summary

Minnesota Public Radio is seeking a Technical Producer for The Splendid Table to coordinate production and maintain workflow across audio and video assets. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality broadcasts and podcasts.

The role emphasizes voice tracking, editing, and distribution, with opportunities to integrate video into the regular workflow while supporting other studio and field productions. Strong editing and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years experience as an audio engineer or producer.
• Experience creating and producing radio features, sound pieces, and cultural programming.
• Three or more years experience as an audio engineer or producer.
• Knowledge and experience with computer-based audio technologies and audio editing software.
• Computer literate with experience using PC and Mac platforms.

Responsibilities

• Show production: direct voice tracking sessions, produce and assemble segments, and distribute to a national audience.
• Manage production workflow and processes for The Splendid Table team.
• Edit and produce engaging audio and video content.
• Oversee administration of content distribution systems for radio and podcast episode creation, rundown, promos, and file delivery.
• Participate in editorial planning and contribute ideas to content planning sessions.
• Maintain high standards of audio/video production, customer service, and technical knowledge.
• Audition and QC produced programs for air.
• Update and maintain production elements library.
