Job summary

Ocient is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end software and hardware projects from a fully remote US-based position. You will drive planning, risk management, and delivery while coordinating with Solutions Delivery, Systems, Engineering, and Product Management to exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of program or project management experience in a technical or engineering-adjacent environment.
• Hands-on experience with databases, data workflows, or data platform operations.
• Experience coordinating hardware/software installation or deployment projects (on‑prem, data center, or cloud).
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies and tools such as Jira, Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning and execution for technical programs and projects, including scope, timeline, resourcing, risk, and budget tracking.
• Manage hardware and software installation projects, including procurement coordination, site readiness, and go-live cutovers.
• Coordinate database-related workstreams: requirements, deployments, migrations, and workflow implementations.
• Build and maintain project plans, RAID logs, status reports, dashboards; run stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Identify risks and blockers early; drive resolution and escalate when timelines or scope are at risk.
• Manage a portfolio of concurrent projects and prioritize based on impact and dependencies.
