Job summary

Bixal, a Fairfax, VA-based consulting firm, seeks an experienced Technical Lead to guide the design, development, and delivery of an enterprise-scale platform for a federal client. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with client engagement, influencing architecture decisions across WordPress, Drupal, and Salesforce, and coordinating API implementations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus at least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in software development or technical leadership.
Five (5) years leading or performing on contracts/projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
Experience migrating or consolidating content platforms; hands-on with WordPress and Drupal.
Proven experience designing, building, and integrating RESTful APIs across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and implementation decisions across WordPress, Drupal, and Salesforce, plus API design/integration.
Mentor a cross-functional team to deliver enterprise-grade platforms.
Set and enforce coding standards, conduct reviews, and improve technical practices.
Ensure accessibility, security, and performance standards are met across the platform.
