Responsibilities

• Set strategy for the technology beat with the Senior Editor and assign pieces to staff writers and freelancers.
• Project-manage long-form guides and short-form articles; set priorities, deadlines, and revise drafts.
• Manage at least one staff writer; conduct reviews and coach writers.
• Develop writers' careers; collaborate with and coach team members.
• Oversee onboarding of freelance support staff as needed.
• Collaborate with audience, photo, art, and operations teams on content and logistics.
• Ensure adherence to Wirecutter standards and journalistic independence.
