Job summary

MBC Talent Connections is helping a collaborative accounting practice hire a Tax Senior for a fully remote position anywhere in the United States. The role requires an active CPA or EA license and offers meaningful work with direct client access, without the traditional large-firm lifestyle.

You will manage a diversified tax portfolio (50% business, 50% individual), prepare and review returns for various entity types, and lead engagements with opportunities for year-round planning and mentorship

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Active CPA or EA license preferred, not required.
• Strong experience preparing both business and individual tax returns.
• Ability to handle complex returns and review less-complex work.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and client-service skills.
• Proven ability to work directly with clients in a consultative capacity.
• Top 100 accounting firm experience is a plus.
• CCH Axcess experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements from planning through completion.
• Communicate with clients, providing clear tax advice.
• Research federal, state, and multistate tax issues.
• Identify tax-saving strategies for managers and clients.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Utilize CCH Axcess for tax preparation and compliance.
