Milestone Advisors, a Salt Lake City–based tax and accounting firm, is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Partner to oversee complex compliance processes, provide strategic planning, and lead client engagements while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Tax Accounting experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or relevant years of experience).
• Active CPA License.
• Experience with leading tax software and bookkeeping software.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax codes and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to manage relationships with staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns, including but not limited to Individual, S-Corp, and Partnership returns.
• Supervise the preparation of simple and moderately complicated income tax returns and assume primary responsibility in the preparation of complicated tax returns.
• General accounting and bookkeeping utilizing QuickBooks Online.
• Individually manage client relationships, including client contact, coordination with clients, and preparation timing for small and medium sized engagements.
• Collaborate with leadership in coordinating large client engagements, identification of problems, and providing solutions.
• Assist with tax planning, tax compliance, and on-boarding of new clients while maintaining quality client relationships.
• Identify opportunities to attract new clients and market the company's services and products and facilitate expansion of business with existing clients.
• Train and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and supervision on tax matters.
