Job summary

Sikich LLC in the United States is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead multiple client engagements and supervise tax planning and business succession planning with budget oversight.

You will consult with partners and clients, review complex returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041), and collaborate with advisory teams to deliver comprehensive solutions for middle-market businesses. Remote-friendly, with strong leadership expectations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or EA certification required.
• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• 2+ years leading teams.
• Experience with tax compliance including review of Form 1040, 1120, 1120-S and 1065 tax returns.
• Proficiency with computerized tax software & Microsoft Office.
• Strong client rapport & project management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing environment.
• Comfortable working in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple client engagements and supervise tax planning and business succession engagements with budget oversight.
• Tax return compliance review including forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065 and 1041.
• Consult with partners, businesses, and individual tax clients on various matters.
• Collaborate with advisory and technology service teams to provide comprehensive business solutions to middle market businesses and their stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key client sponsors and growing client base.
• Develop workforce through supervising, coaching, and mentoring all levels of staff.
• Assist principals and senior leaders with generating new business opportunities and building client networks.
• Understand our service offerings and identify opportunities to better serve clients with our solutions.
• Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining, and training our team of up-and-coming professionals.
• Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
• Provide thoughtful leadership and insightful recommendations on complex issues leveraging expertise.
