Job summary

DIRECTV is seeking a Summer Tax Intern to support the Finance organization by reducing operating taxes and analyzing internal tax processes. You will work on cross-functional initiatives and gain hands-on experience with data analytics, Snowflake SQL, Power BI, and Excel, while delivering insights that impact net income.

This 10-week remote internship is open to students pursuing a 4-year undergraduate or advanced degree in Tax, Accounting, or Finance with strong communication and organizational

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year undergrad or advanced degree in Tax, Accounting, or Finance.
• Strong data analytics and visualization experience.
• Excellent presentation skills to engage leaders.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• SQL experience is a plus.
• Power BI experience.
• Ability to tell data stories and synthesize insights.
• Documentation of processes from ideation to deliverable.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience collaborating virtually and cross-functionally.
• Well-organized with good prioritization.
• Self-motivated and accountable in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Support internal tax processes and related software.
• Analyze California property tax drivers and tax legislation impacts.
• Create SQL reports from Snowflake.
• Develop data visualizations and Power BI dashboards.
• Document processes from ideation to deliverable.
