SaidGig is seeking a Tamil language specialist to join a remote contract to produce precise transcriptions and linguistic annotations for digital content. You will focus on accuracy, clarity, and adherence to project guidelines while collaborating with project coordinators.

The role requires native or near-native Tamil, experience with transcription or linguistic annotation, and strong bilingual communication in Tamil and English.

Qualifications

• Native or near native Tamil proficiency with dialect awareness.
• Experience in audio transcription or linguistic annotation is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under time constraints.
• Strong written and verbal communication in Tamil and English.
• Familiarity with transcription software and digital collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Listen to Tamil audio and produce accurate transcriptions that reflect spoken language.
• Review, proofread, and edit transcriptions for grammar and guideline alignment.
• Annotate linguistic features and audio nuances per project specs.
• Identify unclear audio or discrepancies and flag for review.
• Communicate feedback with project coordinators in writing and verbally.
• Meet deadlines and adapt to evolving project needs.
