Job summary

Apex Systems seeks a Microsoft Transact-SQL Developer for a contract role based in La Vista, NE, with remote options. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years of SQL Server development; strong knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in SQL Server development.
• Strong knowledge of Transact-SQL (T-SQL), including stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Experience with database design, data modeling, and normalization.
• Familiarity with SQL Server tools (e.g., SSMS, Profiler, DTA).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop database structures including tables, indexes, views, functions, and stored procedures.
• Write complex SQL queries and optimize stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
• Provide data management support including data extraction and load for engineering and construction data.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other developers to meet business needs.
• Prepare documentation and specifications for database design, coding, and testing.
• Analyze queries for performance improvements and optimize databases.
