Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to lead a talented team developing advanced simulation models and control solutions for wind, solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and power equipment across NAM, LATAM, EU and APAC.

You will guide modeling and development, oversee MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, PowerFactory, Python, C or C#, and partner with product owners to expand markets for renewables and STATCOM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 10 years of power system modeling experience (or 8 years with PhD).
• 8+ years of experience developing simulation models using MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, PowerFactory, Python, C or C#.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Publications in IEEE or CIGRE and participation in industry working groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Modeling and Product Development team on technical growth and operations.
• Oversee creation and tuning of power electronics and control models across projects.
• Provide technical strategy and coordinate with product owners to expand markets.
• Deliver technical analysis, design studies, and commissioning support for international projects.
• Shape transmission and distribution standards through industry groups.
