Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced Systems & Integration Engineers to support an advanced engineering and AI research initiative. We are looking for deeply hands-on engineers who have integrated, tested, validated, debugged, qualified, or analyzed complex real-world hardware in production environments.

Candidates should bring a strong background in systems engineering, integration and test, reliability analysis, and manufacturing test, with a track record of owning critical portions of the hardware

Qualifications

• Experience applying systems engineering to complex hardware.
• Hands-on integration, verification, and validation of real-world products.
• Strong ability to perform failure analyses and root-cause investigation.
• Experience with manufacturing test and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Apply hands-on systems, integration, reliability, and test engineering expertise to complex hardware problems.
• Review and evaluate system requirements, interfaces, verification strategies, test procedures, and reliability analyses.
• Analyze system-level interactions across electrical, mechanical, firmware/software, thermal, controls, and manufacturing domains.
• Assess technical correctness and feasibility of engineering solutions, test strategies, and system decisions.
• Diagnose integration failures and identify root causes, interface issues, design deficiencies, and test coverage gaps.
• Develop or review rigorous engineering problems, reference solutions, test cases, and failure analyses.
• Draw on experience with prototype bring-up, validation, qualification, environmental testing, production test, and field failure investigation.
• Provide clear technical feedback grounded in hardware development and production experience.
