Job summary

RCG, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator for a fully remote role supporting a federal government customer. The position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, with occasional travel to Washington, DC for meetings or on-site support.

The role focuses on maintaining secure enterprise infrastructure, monitoring systems, and collaborating with distributed teams to ensure mission-critical operations run reliably.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Systems Administration experience.
• Experience administering Windows-based server environments.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and AD/backup solutions.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, maintain, and support enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Manage virtual and physical servers, workstations, and infrastructure appliances.
• Monitor security, reliability, and performance; proactive maintenance.
• Perform OS updates, patch management, and backups; verify data integrity.
• Document system configurations and procedures; support cross‑team collaboration.
• Support lifecycle management and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
