Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Sustaining Engineering Manager to lead a remote team that supports legacy pump products, drives continuous improvement, and ensures production continuity. You will coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to align priorities and deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.

The role requires extensive engineering experience and a track record in technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role within pump solutions or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a sustaining engineering team to support legacy pump production lines.
• Prioritize resolution of complex production and supplier issues to minimize downtime and ensure supply continuity.
• Direct identification and qualification of alternative components and suppliers to address obsolescence and mitigate risks.
• Guide cost-reduction and design-improvement projects (I2V) to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Ensure engineering changes and documentation meet regulatory, quality, and company standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for high-impact issues.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and R&D to align priorities and resources.
• Monitor KPIs related to sustaining activities such as uptime and cost savings.
• Foster continuous improvement and mentorship within the team.
• Manage workload, performance, and career development, including recruiting and reviews.
