Job summary

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) seeks a Specialist for the Sustainable Ranching Initiative (SRI) based in the Great Plains. The role leads the Ranch Infrastructure Fund delivery and collaborates with ranchers, NRCS, engineers, and partners to advance sustainable grazing and habitat restoration on working lands.

The successful candidate will develop program systems, manage workflows from application to closeout, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with WWF policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural resources, agriculture, environmental science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with GIS, databases, or project management software.
• Experience coordinating complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with NRCS programs and processes preferred.
• Experience budgeting contracts or grants in ranching context.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel 20-30% in the Great Plains.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary coordinator for WWF's Ranch Infrastructure Fund (RIF) overseeing conservation projects.
• Coordinate implementation across SRI staff to ensure program standards and timelines.
• Review proposals, budgets, maps, and supporting docs.
• Coordinate with NRCS, engineers, consultants, and partners.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, templates, and internal resources.
• Compile program metrics for grant reporting and evaluation.
• Support proposal development with budget and implementation details.
• Perform field visits to verify project implementation.
