Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in tax support, insurance operations, accounting support, or related administrative role required.
• Experience with multi-state surplus lines tax regulations, property and casualty insurance, or regulatory filing processes is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and support surplus lines tax documentation and reporting requirements across multiple states.
• Monitor filing deadlines and ensure submissions align with state surplus lines tax regulations.
• Reconcile tax payments, maintain accurate records, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Partner with internal teams to gather data, validate policy information, and support accurate filings.
• Assist with research related to regulatory updates and maintain internal procedures as requirements change.
• Support audits by organizing documentation, responding to inquiries, and providing accurate records when needed.
• Maintain organized tax-related files and records for easy retrieval, review, and inspection.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen accuracy, and increase day-to-day efficiency.
