The role requires RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CPC certification, 5+ years hospital coding or auditing experience, and strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding plus current regulatory updates. Excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC certification.
• Five or more years of hospital coding and/or coding auditing experience in a healthcare entity.
• Current knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Understanding of coding rules, guidelines, and regulatory updates.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service aligned with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality reviews of medical records to ensure accurate and compliant coding and billing.
• Validate surgical/procedural coding accuracy, documentation support, and compliance with coding guidelines.
• Assist in evaluating and ensuring proper authorization for procedures performed on the authorized date of service.
