GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The remote support lead is the primary contact for technicians requiring advanced support. This role involves monitoring PACS technology knowledge base, ensuring help desk technician training is current, and assisting users with daily issues.

Technical Knowledge & Responsibilities

  1. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PACS computer systems and hardware, recommending upgrades or replacements as needed.
  2. Investigate hardware problems and perform minor repairs.
  3. Maintain user accounts and email accounts; instruct and assist new users.
  4. Install and configure operating system and application software; assist users with usage.
  5. Collect data on trouble calls to identify patterns.
  6. Perform administrative duties and provide IT assistance outside normal hours if needed.
  7. Maintain knowledge of IT systems, methodology, and practices, using available documentation for ongoing learning.
  8. Serve as primary contact for help desk tier 1 technicians seeking assistance.
  9. Maintain PACS Technology's knowledge base.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certifications from CompTIA, MTA, or similar preferred.
  • At least 1+ years of experience with Microsoft operating systems and Office.
  • Knowledge of server administration, Active Directory, Exchange, and networking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills supporting end users.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift up to 20 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Ability to give and receive verbal and written instructions.
  • Utilize visual and auditory senses for job duties.
  • Work in typical office and healthcare environments.
