Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly analytical Remote Supply Chain Analyst to optimize the flow of goods across a global manufacturing network. You will analyze data, build dashboards, and collaborate with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to reduce costs and improve performance.

The role emphasizes forecasting, inventory management, and supplier evaluation within a fully remote, South Africa-based framework.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in SCM, Logistics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency in data analysis tools: Excel, SQL, Tableau.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with knowledge of supply chain principles.

Responsibilities

Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for key metrics (inventory, lead times, costs).
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing to optimize inventory and reduce costs.
Assist in forecasting demand and planning supply chain activities.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and supplier performance.
Support adoption of new supply chain technologies and processes.
Monitor transportation costs and identify optimization opportunities.
Prepare regular management reports and recommendations.
