Job summary

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions seeks a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer to ensure supplier quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The role emphasizes process capability, lean implementation, CI, and on-line delivery at the supplier level with focus on NPI and onboarding.

The candidate will collaborate with suppliers to optimize manufacturing processes, perform capability studies, support NPI, and drive cost reductions while traveling to supplier sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of manufacturing engineering experience with sheet metal fabrication.
• Alternative: 10–15 years of direct manufacturing leadership experience in sheet metal fabrication with lean exposure.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and reading GD&T.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or AS9100 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize processes for quality, cost and on-time delivery.
• Provide technical guidance during NPI and ramp-up at supplier sites.
• Conduct process capability studies, PFMEAs, and control plan reviews.
• Partner with Quality and Supply Chain to address supplier issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead supplier process audits and capability assessments.
• Support sourcing decisions by evaluating supplier technical capabilities.
• Drive cost reduction through process improvements and yield optimization.
• Travel domestically and internationally to supplier locations.
