Job summary

RTX, Pratt & Whitney suppliers network, seeks a Supplier Development Lead to coach local suppliers toward platinum performance in lean manufacturing, capacity planning, and root-cause analysis. The role is remote-based with significant LA-area travel and on-site engagement.

You will train, assess via SHA, develop SCIP action plans, track progress, and collaborate with PW and supplier leadership to secure long-term improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Advanced Degree with 5+ years.
• U.S. Citizen – access to certain systems requires citizenship.
• Must reside in the Los Angeles, CA area.

Responsibilities

• On-site 80% in the Los Angeles, CA area; 20% from a home office.
• Perform assessments of supplier capability via SHA.
• Develop action plans (SCIP) to close gaps to gold level.
• Track SCIP progress and drive closure to gold level.
• Manage capacity constraints with proper planning.
• Conduct on-site training and coaching at the supplier.
• Coordinate with PW technical and PW purchasing teams.
• Establish leading indicators and monitor weekly.
• Intervene to expedite deliveries and resolve quality issues.
