Job summary

Affect is transforming addiction treatment with a digital program and remote counseling capabilities. This Telehealth Substance Use Disorder Counselor role supports members in recovery through intake assessments, individual and group sessions, and crisis support.

Applicants must hold an active license (LCSW/LPC/LMFT/LIAC/LACT/LAAC) and work in a private HIPAA-compliant space with reliable internet, in a fast-paced startup environment that values impacts, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Active and verifiable license in AZ or another state as listed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite and EMR systems.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment and able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments to evaluate member readiness and level of care.
• Facilitate group and individual counseling using Affect’s curriculum.
• Provide crisis support and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Maintain timely documentation in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with supervisors on treatment and discharge planning.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Credentials verified through State Board as part of the process.
