Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Taunton Comprehensive Treatment Center seeks a Substance Use Counselor for a fully remote role in Massachusetts. The counselor will provide high-quality individual and group counseling to adults with opioid use disorder, supporting MAT and recovery, with an early morning schedule Mon-Fri 6am-2pm.

Responsibilities include planning and documenting treatment, co-facilitating sessions, and ensuring compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, or related health services field.
• Demonstrated experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with MAT options (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
• Experience documenting treatment plans and clinical notes in line with state/federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of patient care and incidents.
