Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a Senior Subsea Operations Manager to lead offshore projects, focusing on subsea cable installation, ROV operations, and marine project management. This remote role requires residing in Maryland or New Jersey and offers oversight for complex burial projects, safety, quality, and performance across global operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of telecommunications industry experience.
• At least 7 years of offshore operations experience preferred.
• Strong background in subsea cable installation, cable burial, plow systems, ROV operations, and subsea trenching.
• Proven leadership experience managing offshore teams and contractor relationships.
• Strong commercial, financial, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for third-party cable installation vessels and subsea operations.
• Review and approve operational procedures, engineering documentation, sea trial plans, and equipment readiness reports.
• Audit plow systems, ROV spreads, LARS systems, and subsea tooling for compliance and performance.
• Oversee cable burial, trenching, inspection, and post-lay operations to ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Evaluate burial feasibility, equipment capabilities, operational limitations, and deployment strategies.
• Support marine coordination, cable crossing activities, and exclusion-zone management.
• Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, labor demand forecasting, and resource management.
• Provide leadership to employees and contractor representatives supporting offshore projects.
