Job summary

Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a Procurement Specialist- Subcontracts to support timely and economical acquisitions across the Laboratory. You will handle complex subcontract actions, perform pre- and post-award activities, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with contracting rules and regulatory procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in procurement or related field.
• Knowledge of the Service Contract Labor Standards and applicability to service contracts.
• Experience performing price and cost analyses.
• Experience managing and coordinating assigned subcontract actions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; effective negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage subcontract actions from solicitation through award and closeout.
• Coordinate with Program, Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure compliant procurements.
• Develop procurement objectives and schedule activities to ensure timely contract awards.
• Assist in evaluation methodology and provide guidance to the evaluation team.
• Perform pre- and post-award procurement activities and related audits as needed.
