Job summary

University of Phoenix is seeking a Student Account Analyst to perform financial and operational analyses of student accounts, ensuring invoicing aligns with enrollment terms and regulatory guidelines.

The role involves daily reconciliations, processing payments/refunds, and preparing accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP. Strong Excel/SQL skills and attention to detail are essential for timely, accurate results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Experience with GAAP and financial terminology.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial software.

Responsibilities

• Produce routine and/or ad-hoc reports to audit student accounts and identify adjustments.
• Analyze account information to calculate charges, adjustments and refunds.
• Manage payments and reconciliations including lockbox, ACH and wire transactions.
• Create and update standard operating procedures in line with GAAP and compliance.
• Support internal and external stakeholders during financial processes.
