Job summary

gpac is partnering with a reputable Engineering firm to add an experienced Structural Project Engineer to a fully remote team. You will design and deliver structural systems across building projects while collaborating with project managers, architects, and other engineers.

Candidates must reside in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones or be willing to relocate to those areas. The role offers a base salary of $80,000-$90,000 plus competitive bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
• 3-7 years of structural design experience.
• Design experience with concrete, steel, masonry and/or wood frame materials.
• Working knowledge of relevant building codes and structural analysis software.
• EIT or PE/SE licensure is not required, however it is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building projects using concrete, steel, masonry and wood frame systems.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, clients and contractors throughout design and construction.
• Review shop drawings and submittals and respond to RFIs.
• Support construction administration, including site observations as needed.
• Help mentor junior engineers and contribute to quality control reviews.
