Job summary

GPAC is partnering with an engineering firm to hire an experienced Structural Project Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design and deliver structural systems for diverse building projects while collaborating with project managers, architects, and other engineers.

Candidates must operate within Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones or be willing to relocate to those areas. Competitive base salary and bonuses accompany a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• 3–7 years of structural design experience.
• Design experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and/or wood frame materials.
• Working knowledge of relevant building codes and structural analysis software.
• EIT or PE/SE licensure is not required, however it is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building projects using concrete, steel, masonry and wood frame systems.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, clients and contractors throughout design and construction.
• Review shop drawings and submittals and respond to RFIs.
• Support construction administration, including site observations as needed.
• Help mentor junior engineers and contribute to quality control reviews.
