Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern in Connecticut/Remote to assist engineers on analysis, design, detailing, and rehabilitation of building and infrastructure systems. You will gain hands-on exposure to materials, calculations, modeling tools, construction documents, field conditions, and project delivery with guidance from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
Completion of coursework in statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, or design.
Basic understanding of structural systems and engineering calculations.
Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or structural analysis tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Assist with structural calculations, models, drawings, details, reports, and other project documentation.
Support the analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and related structural systems.
Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and coordination with design and construction teams.
