Job summary

Salas O’Brien in the USA is seeking a Structural BIM Technician for full-time remote work. You will develop structural models in Revit, create sheet views, and support project coordination across disciplines, delivering accurate results on multiple concurrent projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years with Revit and experience in concrete, wood, steel, and light gauge structures, plus proficiency with MS Office and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience with Revit.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with concrete, wood, steel and light gauge building structures.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to problem-solve and collaborate on innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Executes the assigned structural modeling tasks
• Develops sheet views of plans, details and notes from the Revit model
• Maintains awareness of the production schedule for responsible task(s)
• Reviews completed tasks at key intervals for accuracy and completeness
• Assists with the development of internal drafting standards, including Revit families
• Assists in communicating with other disciplines and project team members to ensure overall project coordination
• Participates in team and company-wide meetings to discuss project issues, coordination with other disciplines and technical issues
• Performs work in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to quality, innovation, learning and respect for co-workers
• Becomes skilled in fostering and maintaining a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team
• Fosters awareness of the firm’s principles of providing outstanding professional service to our clients.
