Job summary

Public Library of Science is seeking a Publishing Operations Vendor Manager to oversee a global network of external partners across the publishing lifecycle. You will lead vendor strategy, manage contracts and RFPs, and ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and compliance with publication standards.

In this role you will collaborate with editorial, production, legal and IT teams, align supplier performance with SLAs, and drive continuous improvement in vendor governance for scalable, high-quality

Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing vendors and managing RFI/RFP processes.
• Experience building long-term vendor relationships with service providers.
• Proven ability to manage SLAs, budgets and vendor KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vendor use in end-to-end workflows and drive cross-functional collaboration.
