Job summary

American Institutes for Research seeks a Senior Manager, Sourcing and Subcontracts to lead enterprise-wide strategic sourcing initiatives and oversee subcontract administration through the full project lifecycle. You will act as a key advisor on procurement matters, drive sourcing strategies, support negotiations, and ensure regulatory and contractual compliance in complex programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or nine years of equivalent professional experience.
Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, subcontract administration, and contract lifecycle management.
Experience in compliance-driven environments, preferably U.S. Federal Government contracting space.
Legal background or vendor negotiation experience; J.D. and/or CPSM/CPP are pluses.
Proficiency with e-sourcing platforms, procurement technologies, and contract management systems.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and complex procurements (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs).
Provide oversight to Subcontract Administrators across pre- and post-award activities.
Develop templates, tools, and SOPs to drive consistency and compliance.
Monitor risks, report on performance trends, and drive process improvements.
Coach and develop a high-performing procurement team.
