Job summary

Flourish Agenda is seeking a Director of Finance & Administration to lead the organization's financial health and operations. This senior role reports to the CEO and sits on the management team, overseeing budgeting, accounting, reporting, and vendor relations.

The position requires 5+ years nonprofit finance experience, a BA in a related field, and ability to manage grants, audits, HR/payroll coordination, and IT/vendor needs while supporting our mission to serve the most vulnerable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years nonprofit financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit fund accounting, GAAP, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, audits, and multi-funder reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop program and annual budgets with leadership and set pricing policies for contracts.
• Maintain robust financial controls and timely financial reporting to the CEO and Board.
• Oversee all accounting and payroll via subcontracted vendors and manage cash flow.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with HR, IT, and vendors to ensure efficient systems.
• Ensure grant management, compliance, and funder reporting.
• Provide audit support and assist with year-end closing.
