Qualifications

• Experience writing speeches, talking points for senior leaders.
• Ability to reflect command voice and messaging in material.
• Ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
• Strong research, interview, and narrative synthesis skills.
• Proven editing, proofreading, and fact-checking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise speeches, remarks, scripts, talking points for SPACEFOREUR AF Commander and senior leadership.
• Write in the voice of the Commanding General, reflecting intent and messaging priorities.
• Conduct research using command documents, SME inputs, policy materials and open sources.
• Prepare messaging for engagements, ceremonies, and internal/external events.
• Coordinate drafts with staff directorates, protocol, and leadership.
• Translate complex topics into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
• Prepare read-ahead materials, bios, and Q&A papers.
• Edit, proofread and fact-check written products for clarity and accuracy.
• Maintain version control and timely delivery of communications.
• Advise Public Affairs on messaging frameworks and strategic themes.
