Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Store Planner in Burlington, NJ to support remodel and downsize initiatives by developing feasibility plans, layouts, and documentation. The role partners with Architecture, Real Estate, Construction, Merchandising, and Field teams to ensure projects align with merchandising strategies and prototype standards.

You will optimize existing store environments for space productivity, customer flow, and the overall shopping experience, using AutoCAD and internal systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5–7 years of Store Planning / Retail Design experience required
• Experience remodeling stores, downsizing, and space optimization
• Experience in open-store environments and phased construction preferred
• Experience adjusting prototypes to existing store conditions
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and X-Ref; Bluebeam preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce store planning documents including remodel layouts, downsize plans, and fixture reflow plans
• Analyze existing store conditions and optimize layouts for adjacencies and selling space productivity
• Adapt Burlington prototype standards to non-prototypical and reduced-footprint environments
• Make scope of work recommendations with leadership on exceptions
• Oversee remodel and downsize projects from inception to completion
• Support phased remodel execution to minimize disruption
• Coordinate with architects, Real Estate, Construction, Merchandising, and Field teams
• Maintain store attributes and planning documentation in Lucernex and internal databases
