Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Technical Field Advisor II to provide on-site technical direction at customer-owned utilities and nuclear plants for Turbine Generator Systems. The role includes reviewing engineering documents, troubleshooting plant systems, planning resources, and directing field teams to meet contractual requirements.

Essential duties include outage planning, safety performance, and coordination with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical degree or 5 years field services experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Oil & Gas or power plant maintenance or turbine generator equipment installation/commissioning.
• Travel up to 80% across North America (Canada - United States - Mexico).

Responsibilities

• Fulfill contract responsibilities for designated and qualified skill set (Steam Turbine Mechanical and Generator).
• Direct and oversee repair or inspection procedures using latest communications and documentation technologies.
• Recognize and document potential failures and provide outage recommendations.
• Read and interpret prints, P&IDs, schematics and manufacturing drawings.
• Support safety metrics as a Service Team member.
• Plan for pre-outage activities and policy/procedure administration as needed.
• Oversee projects within TFA core competency and support warranty issues.
