Job summary

Forever, Inc. seeks a statewide Prescribed Burn Association Coordinator to support AR PBAs and partners. The role involves daily collaboration with APBA and landowners to organize training, reporting, and equipment distribution for prescribed burns.

The candidate will communicate with PBA officers and partners, organize start-up meetings, and help implement Quail Forever’s prescribed fire policy within Arkansas. A strong background in fire ecology is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry, wildlife management, fire ecology or related field with 3+ years related experience.
• Prescribed fire training and certifications required.
• Ability to obtain Arkansas Qualified Prescribed Burner qualification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prescribed burn efforts across multiple PBAs in AR.
• Provide training and maintain burn acreage reporting to APBA.
• Distribute burn equipment and act as liaison with landowners and partners.
• Lead outreach and coordinate annual state PBA activities.
• Monitor compliance with safety and prescribed burn plans.
