Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of government relations, public policy, legislative affairs, or policy analysis
  • Experience with legislative tracking, bill analysis, and policy research
  • Strong writing and editing skills for policy materials

Responsibilities

  • Monitor state legislative and regulatory activity across policy areas and escalate developments
  • Develop and maintain policy scorecards aligned to business objectives
  • Summarise introduced legislation and regulatory proposals and assess business implications
  • Produce updates: trackers, digests, alerts, concise summaries for internal planning
  • Prepare internal briefings and written materials for USGR team
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to validate policy context and data
  • Respond to requests for background research, bill comparisons, and impact analyses
  • Draft policy-facing materials: one-pagers, talking points, issue summaries, Q&A
  • Assist with meetings preparation: briefing packs, agendas, notes
  • Maintain records of deadlines, hearings, and engagement milestones
  • Improve internal tracking processes and document management
