Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Economics, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in government relations or policy analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with legislative tracking and policy research.
  • Strong writing and editing to produce clear policy materials.
  • Knowledge of state legislative processes and education policy desirable.
  • Experience drafting policy summaries, amendments, or Q&A documents.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor state legislative and regulatory activity and escalate developments.
  • Develop and maintain policy scorecards for business units.
  • Review legislation and regulatory proposals and summarise implications.
  • Produce updates: trackers, digests, alerts, and summaries.
  • Prepare internal briefings and briefing packs for meetings.
  • Track deadlines, hearings, and engagement milestones.
