Job summary

Kruze Consulting is seeking a Controller to join its fully remote finance team supporting 15 to 20 startup clients. This exempt, salary role drives all aspects of financial management, accounting, and regulatory compliance for multi-client engagements.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of corporate accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting, expertise in GAAP and QuickBooks Online, and exceptional analytical skills. Core hours are 8am-5pm in their time zone.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 8+ years of corporate accounting experience.
• Experience in a multi-client environment with strong GAAP knowledge.
• Advanced proficiency with bookkeeping, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Provide financial reporting and insights to management and clients.
• Oversee general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and period-end close.
• Support audits, fundraising, and M&A activities for client engagements.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and internal controls.
