Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a 06+ months contract, with remote work in the United States. The role requires independent clinical oversight and utilization management expertise.

Licensed Pharmacist with a PharmD preferred and strong MS Office skills is required, plus 2+ years of lead or retail pharmacy experience. Candidate will support a multi-disciplinary team and finalize prior authorization decisions.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• Proficient technical skills utilizing Microsoft Office applications required.
• 2+ years of lead/supervisor or retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Utilization Management experience preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge.
• Ability to make decisions quickly, often with limited information.
• Experience with Specialty Pharmacy/Pharmaceuticals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review each plan's policy to determine medication coverage.
• Provide clinical support and oversight for all utilization management activities.
• Finalize all denials of clinical prior authorization requests.
• Serve as a clinical resource for drug therapy questions within the Coverage Review Department.
• Utilize multiple systems and clinical resources to make informed decisions in utilization management reviews.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary clinical team to ensure a customer-centric experience.
