Abbott is seeking a Staff Pathologist to support the Cancer Diagnostics division in the United States, with remote work three weeks per month and one in Phoenix. The role focuses on interpretation and validation of molecular diagnostics to guide patient therapy.

This position requires MD, board certification in pathology, fellowship training, and a minimum of 3 years of clinical practice, with strong patient-centric service orientation and regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• MD degree and board certification in Anatomical/Clinical Pathology.
• Board-certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology.
• Completion of a Surgical Pathology and/or Cytology Fellowship.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical practice experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Mansioni

• Provide diagnostic pathology expertise through review and interpretation of laboratory data and tissue specimens.
• Interpret and sign out solid tumor molecular diagnostic cases.
• Interpret and sign out IHC biomarkers (PD-L1, HER2).
• Perform H&E assessment of tumor cellularity.
• Contribute to assay validation, workflow optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide pathology professional services to support questions from stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Histology, Lab Operations, Customer Service, Medical Affairs, Accessioning and IT for high-quality operations.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA and CAP regulations.
