Dave is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Scientist to shape how we build, evaluate, and govern ML models across underwriting, collections, fraud, and growth. You will influence architecture, establish governance, and balance profitability with member outcomes in a fintech setting.

You will lead modeling initiatives, mentor junior scientists, and partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and sponsor-banks to ensure responsible, scalable ML practices across the organization.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of production ML experience.
• Experience with credit modeling in fintech or consumer lending.
• Experience with model risk management, validation, and regulatory controls.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks (PyTorch, XGBoost, Spark).

Responsabilidades

• Shape modeling strategy across underwriting, collections, fraud, marketing, and growth, influencing architecture and investment priorities.
• Establish model governance standards covering validation, monitoring, risk classification, documentation, change management, and independent review.
• Build and improve credit models informing underwriting, collections, and settlement strategies.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and sponsor-bank stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into measurable controls.
• Advance business measurement through metrics, experimentation, causal inference, and incrementality analysis.
• Develop AI-assisted workflows and mentor scientists to improve modeling efficiency and consistency across teams.
