Dave, a leading US fintech, seeks a Lead Machine Learning Scientist to build and deploy fraud detection models, protect members, and responsibly expand access to credit. You’ll own the ML lifecycle from data exploration to production, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Risk Operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on modeling, experimentation, and the use of TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Spark on cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on ML experience in production.
• Deep fraud modeling for fintech or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy advanced fraud detection models.
• Explore data, engineer features, evaluate approaches.
• Own end-to-end ML lifecycle from research to production.
• Apply AI tools to accelerate development and workflows.
• Analyze model performance and impact on losses.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Risk Operations.
