Launch Potato is seeking an experienced data scientist to design and deploy models that optimize carrier matching for auto insurance shoppers and to own the media-buying models that drive ROAS. You will handle data, build end-to-end models, and work with an ML engineer on production deployment.

This remote-first role follows East Coast hours, starting with auto insurance and expanding to other verticals over time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on applied data science with measurable business impact.
• Models drove paid media decisions: spend, bidding or ad serving.
• You built models end-to-end from data to deployment and monitoring.
• Expert Python and SQL with strong data handling.

Responsibilities

• Build models to match insurance shoppers with the right carrier on the click wall.
• Own the buying models behind media spend and ROAS.
• Frame problems with business goals, find data, build and validate models, deploy and monitor.
• Collaborate with an ML engineer on production deployment; initially focus on auto insurance; expand later.
