Job summary

Simera is seeking a highly organized Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The role requires strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with general ledger activities, reconciliations, AP, AR, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will record daily transactions, maintain ledgers, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end closing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience with general ledger maintenance and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and ERP/accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting documents.
• Perform reconciliations of bank, card, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with AP/AR processes and vendor payments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Identify discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
