Job summary

Solifi is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team and support core financial operations, payroll, billing, and reconciliations. The role bridges daily transactions with high-level reporting in a rapidly growing fintech software environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams, handle month-end close support, and contribute to accurate financial statements. This position offers fully remote work with occasional travel to Minneapolis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and fundamental financial principles.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret contracts, order forms and statements of work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll process, including processing payroll, verifying payroll data, and ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to payroll, including tax withholding, benefits, and payroll deductions.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data and maintain employee payroll records.
• Assist with end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, and expense report management.
• Ensure payments are processed accurately and timely in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Execute renewal billing process, including price increases and timely invoice delivery for subscription entitlements via digital distribution.
• Identify specialized billing for customers and configure billing terms.
• Review executed contracts and orders for billing accuracy.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
