Job summary

Quzara LLC is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (GCP) to design, operate, and secure federal-facing GCP environments. You will own landing zones, IAM controls, and encryption while applying an automation-first approach to reduce toil across production workloads.

The role requires deep GCP expertise, familiarity with NIST frameworks, and the ability to deliver audit-ready evidence. Remote US-based work with a strong emphasis on compliance and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering / SRE experience.
• 3+ years building/operating production GCP environments.
• Experience designing and operating GCP landing zones and network controls.
• Strong knowledge of GCP IAM and CMEK.
• SRE mindset with observability, SLOs, on-call, and incident response.
• Familiarity with federal security controls (NIST 800-53/800-171, FedRAMP, or CMMC).
• Proficiency in Terraform and at least one scripting language (Python/Go/Bash).
• Ability to produce audit-ready documentation and translate configurations into evidence.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure GCP foundations and landing zones for federal environments.
• Engineer secure GCP network architectures and IAM controls.
• Implement identity, access, and encryption controls with least privilege.
• Develop security monitoring, threat detection, and response capabilities.
• Maintain logging, observability, and reliability with SLOs and incident response.
• Automate infrastructure and security workflows using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Translate security requirements into GCP configurations and audit-ready evidence.
• Communicate technical requirements and risks to stakeholders.
